Snowblowers

Overaasen has faced great challenges in developing a range of snowblowers that can withstand extreme conditions including exceedingly heavy snowfalls and hurricane-strength winds. For more than 40 years, R&D has been focused on detachable snowblowers for use on different-sized wheel loaders. Today Overaasen can offer snowblowers and equipment with capacities of up to 5,000 tonnes/hour.

For specialised tasks such as opening mountain roads closed off by winter snow, Overaasen delivers tracked snowblowers capable of working down through the snow layer by layer.

For snowclearing of railways, Overaasen offers a selection of equipment, including the world's largest snowblower with installed engine power of more than 2,500 hp.

 

Airport Snowblowers

For use at airports where the demands for speed and capacity are great, Overaasen has developed high-speed, high-capacity units, including the world's largest wheeled snowblower.

UTV Snowblowers Range

The UTV range of snow blower has been designed for snow removal operations at airports. The snow blower is designed as a unit to be fi tted on a normal wheel loader. The blower head works in a dual stage system with a slowly rotating auger and a fast rotating impeller. The auger and the impeller are driven mechanically by a heavy duty durable transmission. The unit is operated from the cab by an easy to use panel, which is connected to the unit by a strong flexible cable. The following options are available: Hydraulic slewing ring, Casting chute, Loading chute, Engine heater, Working lights, Hydraulic flap on impeller housing.

UTV 300

UTV 300 is a dual stage detactable snowblower designed for snow clearing and snow loading at airports. The mechanical power transmission has been designed for heavy duty operation under the worst possible winter conditions.

In this way the UTV 300 represents the benefit of the In-Line concept. The snowblower attachment is perfectly suited for wheel loaders with and operating weight of 11 tons (Volvo L 70 C B, Cat IT 28) to 15 tons (Volvo L90, Cat IT 38).

UTV 400

UTV 400 is special snowblower designed for snow clearing of roads and airports. The snowblower is available as a unit snowblower for atachment to wheel loaders. The snowblower works in a dual stage system with a slowly rotating auger and a fast rotating impeller.

The auger and impeller are driven mechanically by a simple, durable transmission.

The engine is placed in the centre line of the machine.

TV 825 S

The Overaasen TV 825 S snowblower is specially designed for high speed snow clearing of runways and taxiways, and can handle all different snow conditions.

The dual stage systems features a feeding auger and separate impeller which both have variable speed and superior functionality for all snow conditions.

The snowblower is mounted on to a truck chassis. Inside the well-designed rear compartment is a diesel engine attached to transmissions, hydraulic pumps, coolers etc.

The snowblower is fitted with a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine type OM 444 LA with 612 kW at 2100 rpm.

TV 1260 S

TV 1260 S is a self-propelled snowblower made for airports with special requirements regarding efficiency and capacity. The snowblower is mounted to a purpose built chassis. The driver's cabin is located on top of the blower head, thus providing an optimal view during work and driving.

The chassis has two axles which are hydrostatically driven and allow 4 wheel steering and 4 wheel drive. The chassis-mounted diesel engine produces 926 kW at 2100 rpm (other types of diesel engines can be delivered on request). The diesel engine provides power to drive the vehicle and operates the snowblower head. The drum can be reversed if necessary.
